Dear Friends and Family,
I am excited to share with you that God has called me to return to Bolivia this year with Orange Hill Baptist Church! The purpose of this trip is to reach the Ayoré Indians, a despised, unprotected, and relatively unknown tribe in Bolivia. Last year, the Orange Hill team, along with four families of missionaries stationed in Bolivia, traveled to five different villages and met the peoples’ needs by providing medical care and basic necessities. We also ministered through construction projects, worship services, women’s Bible study, men’s Bible study, and Vacation Bible School. Most of all, we spent time getting to know the people and showed them that we care about them and there is an almighty God who cares about them too.
In June 2011, I will be returning with the Bolivia team. This year, the team is making return visits to the towns of Santiago, Santa Cruz, Pailon, Fua, and Urucu. We will be ministering to the Ayoré Indians through women’s ministry, construction work, and Vacation Bible School. In addition, we are adding a stronger focus this year on men’s and youth ministries.
This year, the cost of the trip is $1,750. If you feel God leading you to support me as I go to Bolivia, please follow the instructions on the right sidebar of this page to contribute.
Whether or not you can give financial support, prayer support is much needed. Please pray that God would begin to prepare the hearts of the mission team and the hearts of the people that the team will encounter on the trip. Pray for health and safety as the team travels from village to village. Pray that we make the best of our time there and are ultimately obedient to God’s leading, instead of trying to stick to our own plans. Pray also that God would not only use this trip to work through us, but in us.
I thank God for your support!
Much love,
Laura Bentz
How, then, can they call on the one they have not believed in? And how can they believe in the one of whom they have not heard? And how can they hear without someone preaching to them? And how can they preach unless they are sent? As it is written, "How beautiful are the feet of those who bring good news!" Romans 10:14-15
