Our History

In June 1999, MRI began as a dream and a vision when Orange Hill Baptist Church short term mission team visited Santa Cruz, Bolivia South America. God planted the seed to utilize Tony McCarver's administrative talents to link North American resources with South America Mission and the people of Bolivia. In January 2000, Pat Nesbitt joined MRI as Vice President. In June 2000, MRI Received a Certificate of Incorporation from the State of Georgia as a domestic nonprofit corporation. The dream came alive as Mission Resources International, Inc. In October 2001, MRI was establish as a federal 501 (c) (3) tax exempt non-profit charity.

Mission Statement

Mission Resources International's mission is to link North American resources with world ministry needs by utilizing prayer, church partnerships, short term teams, and financial support to see that all people groups enter into a saving relationship with Jesus Christ.

Doctrine

• We believe the Bible is the infallible and inerrant Word of God inspired by the Holy Spirit.
• We believe God is the Creator and sustainer of all things, sovereign Lord in all His ways.
• We believe in the Holy Trinity, Father, Son and Holy Spirit.
• We believe salvation comes from Christ alone, that Christ was born of a virgin, died on the cross for all sinners, rose again on the third day, is seated at the right hand of the Father, and through Him we are reconciled to God.

Accomplishments

During the past eight years MRI has lead two teams to Slatina Romania and six teams to Santa Cruz, Bolivia, totaling over seventy five people. MRI has built two chapels in Romania and helped construct several churches in Ayore villages and built a multipurpose house in Poza Verde.
