Toni, Brenda, Mary, Penny, and Marci visiting with the ladies at their homes. We prayed with them, sang hymns in Ayore, and gave them the gift bags we brought. It was a special time for all of us.
The ladies selling their crafts to us to sell in the Ayore store on this website. All of the profit from the sale of these items goes directly back into the Ayore ministry. Check back at the store soon as we have many new items to sell!
A man we met while visiting the ladies reading from the bible we gave him.
Mary and one of the ladies.
One of the families we visited. The plant the lady is holding is the one used by the ladies when they make their purses. The scarves the boys have on their heads were in the gift bags we gave their mothers.

While some of us are visiting with the ladies, the rest of our group is setting up on the basketball court to play with the kids. Thanks to contributions from Lisa's supporters we brought softballs, mitts, bats, face paint, slinkies, a jump rope, and other fun stuff. The word is clearly getting out!

From Poza Verde it was on to the church in Pailon where we did Vacation Bible School. The church in Pailon is not a part of the Ayore ministry, however MRI has had a relationship with the church there since 1999 when they first went to Bolivia.

This is the pastor of the church in Pailon. Her husband was the pastor when we first went there, but he has since passed away. She took over for him. The church has clearly continued to thrive under her pastor ship. MRI presented her with a necklace and a set of the children's bible story disks.
Other ministries that day: Thanks to funds collected from Lisa's supporters we decorated the school in Poza Verde with educational materials purchased at "The School Box". We were also able to give gifts of teaching tools to each of the teachers. This was the first step in building a relationship with them. It is also noteworthy to say a group of Ayore left by train for San Jose this day to meet up with us after we drove down there. In the past we always ministered to them. On this trip we had the privilege of working side by side with them with the Ayore in San Jose de Chiquitos where we built a church.
Needless to say, this was a busy day for us. In the evening we got together as a team and reflected back on the day's events. It was a good time of sharing and of prayer.
