Dear Family and Friends,

I am writing to share with you the incredible opportunity that the Lord has provided for me this summer. I have been called to serve on a short-term mission team to Bolivia. The team is composed of Orange Hill Baptist Church members and we will be working in tandem with Mission Resources International. We will be spending 10 days working with the local missionaries, Drs. Placido and Toni Mercado of South American Missions (www.placidoandtoni.blogspot.com ).

When: June 23rd through July 3rd

Where: Bolivia

Cost: $1,750.00 per team member. This covers airfare, food and materials. Each team member   is responsible for raising 100% of their financial and prayer support.

Purpose: Even though this is my first time to Bolivia this is not the first time Orange Hill has sent a team. Our mission trip this year will take us to Fua, San José and Santiago. Our team plans to continue to build the relationships we began in years past in Fua and observe the progress made with the church and water catchment system built last year. We will do VBS with the children; and bible studies with the men and women in the other Ayoré villages/towns on our agenda. I will be involved with a construction project and the men’s bible studies.

Prayer Needs: Please pray as we continue to plan this trip, for clarity of thought and sensitivity to the spirit as we rely on God to move us in the right direction. Pray for safe travel and the financial support necessary for me to be able to go. Pray that I will follow Gods direction for what He asked me to do, especially being out of my comfort zone. Pray for the people we will encounter, pray that God will be revealed to them in a new and powerful way. Pray that God will be glorified in everything that we do.
